Kungs offers a wide range of innovative and high quality car care accessories for winter, cleaning and washing. Kungs winter products are the market leader in Scandinavia and Northern Europe.
Our products are designed and tested to suit the extreme Finnish winter conditions. Our products are manufactured at our own factory in Kokemäki, Finland and our philosophy is to produce the best products for the car care accessory markets in the most environmentally friendly way. Naturally, we take great pride in our environmental leadership, quality and craftsmanship.
Sinituote Group
Sinituote Oy is a Finnish family-owned company that manufactures and markets consumer goods and industrial products. It is the leading manufacturer of these products throughout the North European markets. Sinituote is known for its consumer brands SINI, Kungs, and Rörets, which are all established and trusted brands.
The group’s production facilities are situated in Finland and in Poland. In 2020 the turnover for the group was 90 M Euros, and the number of employees was approximately 500 persons.
The company has achieved a high Rating Alfa classification by Suomen Asiakastieto Oy, the leading provider of information services for corporate and risk management.
Sinituote Oy has been owned by the Brotherus family for the last 30 years, and today the second generation is leading the company. In 2020, Sinituote was awarded the national entrepreneurial award, which is the most valued entrepreneur prize in Finland.
Product design and quality
Functional Scandinavian design, uncompromised quality and constant innovations are the elements that each Kungs product speaks for. Therefore, many of our products have a 3 year warranty promise.
We test all products and components in our own in-house laboratory before starting mass production. The products will be exposed to extreme temperatures and parts are twisted and bent thousands of times before we are convinced that mass production can be started. This is our standard process for all new Kungs products.
Our quality assurance is monitored in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard.
Our key pillars in product testing can be divided into four areas
- Uncompromising product development: We systematically perform durability and functionality tests in all phases of our product development.
- A dedicated in-house testing laboratory: We test all products, components and raw materials in our own advanced testing laboratory.
- Weather-exposure testing: We test our products both for extreme freezing temperatures as well as for heath and UV radiation.
- Quality assurance in our production: All stages in our production include quality controls, and we test all raw-materials before commencing production.
Sustainability
Environmental leadership in our category
High environmental awareness is a cornerstone of our operations. We design and produce long-lived products, with replaceable parts, and use recycled materials in production. We stand for durability and quality over throw-awayism.
We walk the talk and focus on concrete actions in environmental leadership. Our production sites in Finland are 100% carbon neutral and we have our own solar power plant on the roof of our factory in Kokemäki, Finland. In addition, zero waste goes to landfills and all excess plastic from production is reused in our factories.
We are a leader in our industry in circular economy: over 45% of the total plastic used in our production is already of recycled origin. Recycled plastic causes 80% less CO2 emissions compared to virgin plastic granulates. We use a wide variety or different recycled raw materials, and explore and test new ecological materials continuously.
We use the ISO 14001 environmental standard for environmental monitoring.
